Alfred Estrada

Owner and CEO

Alfred has been working in the cold storage refrigeration industry for more than 40 years. His understanding in every aspect of the commercial and industrial refrigeration needs is extensive. Alfred’s vast knowledge stems from his experience working in all facets of the cool storage industry as well as his education. He graduated from Lincoln Technical School and Hudson County Community College in Refrigeration, HVAC and Sheet Metal.

He founded RCS in 1996 on his belief that every customer needs to be treated as our only customer.

Alfred is Florida Certified Licensed Building Contractor, Florida Certified Licensed Class A Air-Conditioning Contractor, and Universal CFC Certified by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Amanda Estrada West

Vice President

Amanda has 12 years’ experience in the cold storage and refrigeration industry. While working toward her engineering degree, Amanda created Auto-CAD drawings for preliminary cold storage facilities. Amanda prepares all RFQs, division quotes, and project cost analysis and estimates as well as coordinates with all project engineers. In addition, she coordinates the daily activities for projects including onsite and field supervision.

She’s a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Amanda is Florida Certified Mechanical Contractor and Universal CFC Certified by the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as a Certified General Builder.

Terry Barrett

Controller

Terry has more than 30 years of experience as a Controller for companies in the Refrigeration HVAC industry. His extensive knowledge of the accounting system specifically designed for the construction industry, Construction Industry Software (COINS), spans 20 years. Terry oversees the entire account operations at RCS including tracking project management expenses.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Troy State University.

Gene Wahl

Operations Manager

Gene has worked in the cold storage industry for more than 45 years. He has extensive experience in refrigeration, construction, and various types of restaurant equipment. Gene’s years as a service technician provided him with the experience of working with varies types of compressors from all major brands of refrigeration equipment. He also worked on ice machines and gas appliances.

Gene has been with RCS since 1996 and has been instrumental in the development of the construction and service department.

Albert Estrada

Project Manager

Albert is a multifaceted and seasoned project manager with more than 34 years of specialized experience in all aspects of management – sales, project conception, client and subcontractor negotiations, writing contracts, CAD design, construction timeline coordination and management, facilities operation, oversee vendors, and employees. His experience in the construction and of facilities operation and maintenance, include; modernization, installation and repair of industrial and commercial refrigeration equipment such as DX, glycol and Anhydrous Ammonia systems. He is also highly experienced in refrigeration rack systems Direct Digital Controls (DDC) and line voltage Ammonia/central plant controls and integration with Process Logic Controls (PLC) giving him the ability to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot any type of controls related issues.

Albert is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a duel Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance and a Bachelor of Science minor in Economics.

He is Florida Certified Mechanical Contractor, Anhydrous Ammonia trained and certified, and Universal CFC Certified by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Paul Samay

Construction Manager

Paul has worked in the cold storage industry for more than 21 years. Because of his extensive experience in the installation and construction of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and insulated cold storage buildings, Paul is considered an authority in his field, specifically when it comes to large voluminous freezer buildings with multi-temperature zones and heated, insulated freezer sub-floors.

His years as a service technician also provides him with the knowledge of working on all major brands of refrigeration equipment. Paul, an instrumental part in the development of the construction department and who designs the plenums with an electric system to move the tarp, has been with RCS since 1997.

Chris Harrell

Service Manager

Chris Harrell has 13 years of experience in the refrigeration and cold storage industry. For the past four years, he has served as the service manager. His experience includes the installation and repair of industrial and commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment which includes walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in coolers and freezers, milk boxes, ice machines, refrigerated trucks, ammonia central plant maintenance applications, insulated cooler doors, door gaskets and door heaters.

Beth Matthews

Accounts Receivable and Payable Manager

Beth has more than ten years of experience in accounts receivable and payable. She manages the entire service department’s billing process and tracks all paperwork pertaining to each service call received at RCS. She also coordinates the service calls between the Service Manager and Service Technicians. In addition, Beth manages the data entry of the accounts payable invoices.

She is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication.

Ariel

RCS Mascot

Ariel is often found resting in the hallways of the RCS building waiting for the opportunity to welcome employees, clients, or vendors. Ariel happily greets everyone who visits with a friendly-hop to attention. She’s a red-haired Labradoodle.
